The carver is from the Chateau collection of French inspired furniture that maintains poll position on the interiors market, a classical look that has been around for centuries and will never date. This has been brought up to date with the demands of modern day living and to breathe a breath of fresh air, this has been painted in a true IVORY which is so much more flattering in the harsh grey/blue tones of natural light that we get here in the UK. The carver has been painted ~by hand~ expertly using a tried and tested method of coating and ageing to lend it that un-mistakable authentic shabby chic look. Each step (and there has been 7) of painting undergoes feather distress, focusing mainly on the carvings, to reveal the bare wood, in certain parts to re-create that 'lived-in' look.
These rattan/cane backed carver has been upholstered in deep black velvet, bringing a striking contrast to the solid wood painted frame and bare rattan. Black velvet seats mean one great thing for me ~no grubby marks!~ Please see my other items for the chairs and table.
Hand made through and through, retailing for a massive amount of un-realistic money elsewhere, available through me, as usual for well below the RRP.

TERMS OF SALE - PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING!!!
1. All correspondence is to be made via eBay messaging service as this is closely monitored by eBay and thus avoids any misunderstandings and 'lost' e-mails.
2. Payment due NO LATER than 3 days of auction/listing finish and must clear prior to us arranging delivery/collection.
3. All deliveries require a valid LANDLINE telephone number so please supply this otherwise this may add further delays in processing your order.
4. We have lost count the numerous e-mails received after auction finish from disappointed bidders complaining of being out bid at the last minute, to avoid this place your bid early as more than often we have limited stock availability as what we have arriving into stock goes straight back out!
5. French style painted furniture refers to the actual styling of an item that has been replicated from Louis XVI era and has been brought up to date with different coloured paint. The vast majority is called Chateau meaning this has been painted in 'antique white' that has undergone a 7 step coating and ageing process to give a more authentic lived in look. Do therefore expect distress to the paint work which entails rubbing off to make it look 'old'. Valbonne ranges refers to the cream (nearing pale yellow) coloured heavily distressed French style furniture.
Likewise, do remember that colours do vary between computer monitors, therefore accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
6. Most of what we stock comes fully assembled unless otherwise stated in the item description so do ensure that you have correctly measured up as refunds may not be given should your item fail to fit.
7. If you are collecting, do ensure you bring sufficient man-power to help lift & load from our premises, help will be given at our end, but we are not legally bound to do so. Should there be any damages/accidents whilst assisting we cannot be held responsible for these unfortunate accidents.

If you are arranging your own couriers, please make them aware that they will be required to bring some form of proof of purchase, I have an alarming amount of couriers whom ring up (or turn up unannounced) to say that they are collecting something and no name. Without the correct proof (such as invoice or your name even) I will turn them away. In addition, your courier will be asked to sign a goods received notification declaration as all my items are handed over in their pristine condition - saves any mis-understandings later on!

Please note that I do not make a profit on shipping, costs are for REPUTABLE furniture carriers to ensure that your item arrive as they should & when they should. HOW DELIVERY WORKS:
1. Upon receipt of payment I will book collection of your item with the appropriate carrier, so make sure you have provided CORRECT telephone number(s) and Email addresses. I will more than often take the address that you hold on ebay/paypal unless you tell me otherwise.
2. The carriers collect from me ONCE weekly, so ensure PROMPT payment so I can get your booking form done on time.
3. The carriers will EMAIL first with a proposed date they intend on delivering, for which you will need to CONFIRM by return DIRECT to them, and NOT me! They will also closer to the day provided a time slot.
4. Whilst I have a general idea on delivery dates, please remember that I am not in control of suitable days etc as each carrier will have their own schedules, any special requirements, please negotiate DIRECT with them. Most deliveries will fall on a week day, so please ensure that you have provided a VALID TELEPHONE number as your delivery booking cannot be completed without one, likewise should there be a failed delivery, you may be subjected to a re-delivery fee.
***I do not make money on shipping, this is an exasperating issue, so please do not assume that I have added a few extra ££'s on, as this is highly insulting. I do not charge for packaging, but all items are sent out appropriately packed.
***The above list indicates one item shipped only, for additional items carried at the same time to the same address, please add a further £40 for each item added.
***Delivery is DOORSTEP, GROUND LEVEL only, so ensure that you have sufficient help when taking delivery of big & bulky items, carriers are NOT insured to lift items into your home, so please do not ask as refusal often offends.
***Delivery times are given as guidance and is dependent upon CLEARED payment for your item, do also ensure you have provided contact telephone number upon payment otherwise this WILL add delays to your delivery should you fail to not provide this information.
***Many carriers are working towards being Eco-friendly, therefore will try and group deliveries in together, do your bit to help the environment and help to ensure that we leave a wonderful world for our children & grandchildren! You can help by simply accommodating given delivery dates by the courier.
***Make sure that any damages/discrepancies are noted down at the POINT of delivery and on the DELIVERY note BEFORE you sign and the driver leaves. Damage claims cannot be raised with ANY carrier if you have signed for your goods and not marked down faults.

Insurance is obligatory and this gives added peace of mind knowing that should there be a problem in transit, the carrier is fully responsible for your item. This means that your matter will be dealt with as quickly as possible, and where necessary the correct steps taken with the least amount of disruption to you.
My chosen carriers are carefully selected as I have been burnt far too many times with rogue cowboy couriers.
Your insurance covers for loss and damage of your item when it is in the possession of the appropriate carrier. Please do note that insurance does not cover for items of glass and mirrors, but rest assured I would never send anything out unless it was appropriately packed.
Should there be a problem with your item upon receipt, please email me at the earliest opportunity and I will raise this with the carrier.
