Title of Painting: Blue Stripes Artist: Gary Bolyer RAVE REVIEWS FROM COLLECTORS OF BOLYER'S WORK "Nadya and I are thankful for your participation in the Art in Embassies program of the Department of State. Your skill and generosity helped us to present a side of America we wanted everybody to see. Your work played an important part in showing our guests a piece of American life in our small corner of America in Uzbekistan. The collection that we put together was designed to give our Uzbek friends a feel for New York City and the surrounding area. I greatly appreciate your South Shore and Central Park subjects." U.S. Ambassador John Herbst, Uzbekistan, Russia "This is my lucky day! White Egret was delivered today, and now I have won this auction for a second painting of yours, the beautiful Maine seascape! Both my daughter (a 10-year-old artist) and I love White Egret! We are nature lovers and amateur birdwatchers. It is great to have the pencil drawing too, as it helps Catherine better understand the process of creating original art. We also really appreciated your thoughtful and informative note. I am so happy to win the auction for this seascape. We were just in Maine a few years ago vacationing with a college friend and her daughter, and you have definitely captured the look and feel of the craggy coastline! Many thanks from your new fans across the Hudson." Pamela and Catherine, Englewood, NJ, USA "It was love at first sight when I found your painting "Approaching Dark" on your website. Your work is beautiful and exciting. "Approaching Dark" is now in my home and will always be appreciated." Jo G., Seneca, NC, USA "I received the beautiful iris painting yesterday and just had to let you know how much I LOVE it. I can't believe it went for such a low price- I almost feel like I stole it from you; so, I wanted to let you know that it is in a home that really appreciates its beauty. I have left you positive feedback and added you to my favorite sellers. Hopefully I will be able to purchase another painting from you. Thanks again" Karen R., Austin, TX, USA About the Artist The paintings of award-winning artist Gary Bolyer have been shown and sold in galleries both nationally and internationally for almost twenty years. He has studied landscape and portrait painting at The Art Students' League of New York. He now makes in home in northwest Louisiana, where he maintains a working studio. ARTIST STATEMENT I paint in a representational and impressionistic style. Taking my cue from nature, I utilize a variety of mediums, hoping to bring out the myriad shapes, forms and colors that I see around me. My work is most often painted "Plein Air" (created on-site outdoors) using broad, sweeping brush strokes. Through my art, I express my love of the natural world.
