WE HAVE LISTED 12" X 12" X 1" (sample) PIECES  THE GRADE AND FIRMNESS ARE IN THE TITLE .

As a guide we will list the firmness ie firm, medium or soft and the density indicated by the number in the grade.

The higher the denisty the more  resilient the foam will be.

Density and firmness are not the same.

As a general rule a box cushion looks far better if the foam is slightly bigger than the cover

If your making new covers and you have 5” foam then make a 4” box cushion.

If you have 4” box cushion cover then go for 5” foam or 4” with a wrap of Dacron 

You should also add 1” to the front to back measurement of the required foam to achieve a good tight fit

 
How to measure
I need to know the length, width and thickness of foam you require. Measure your cover rather than the old foam, feather or fibre cushions as these may have compressed over time.

If you have feather or fibre cushions the border width of the cover is the most important measurement .
 
 My rule of thumb is :
The border width of the cover +12oz Dacron wrap equals a full fitting cushion
 

Just fitting foam to the thickness of the border can leave you with an ugly ill-fitting cushion
