This lovely quality George III silver salver was made in Birmingham in 1816 by Matthew Boulton, it measures 11 inches in dia and has the crest of a stags head above a crown to the centre, it has a gadrooned border with acanthus leaf detail at cross points and it stands on 3 cast acanthus leaf designed feet and is fully and very clearly marked on the back of the salver. It is in very good condition with no damage or repairs, a very good quality piece from a very collectable maker weighing 22 ounces.
