This is a superbly crafted piece by John Browning - his speciality was spectroscopy. The instrument is in good optical, mechanical, and cosmetic condition excepting some blemishes to the original lacquer. There is a twist operated slit and focusing by means of the millhead, lever, and eyepiece tube, with a number of internal prisms. This arrangement produces a fine white light spectrum. The tube is engraved 'Graces Spectroscope' and 'John Browning 63 Strand London'. The moroccan leather covered case has a gold painted label for the maker. The spectroscope is 5.75 inches long by 1 inch diameter and, with the case, weighs 205 grams. P&P will be £1.50 for First Class UK delivery; Europe £2 and the rest of the world £3.50. No reserve.,
