You may be wondering why most of my items are listed in GBP (eBay UK)
when I am located in Australia... Well there are several reasons but
first let me assure you that every single one of my items is located in
Australia and will ship via Australia Post (Registered).
My reasons for listing on eBay UK:
- eBay UK offers much more reasonable fees for fixed price listings so the Buy It Now price is lower.
- eBay
Australia does not have the "Make Offer" option available. eBay UK does
have this option which enables you, the buyer to haggle the price.
- All
my items listed on eBay UK can still be paid for in Australian dollars
if you prefer. All you have to do is let me know at the end of the
auction (and this is my preference too)
- NOW HERE'S THE BIG ONE! From June 17th eBay Australia will be implementing a new, absolutely ridiculous policy that will only allow PayPal as a payment method for all transactions! This means that EVERYBODY on eBay.au MUST use PayPal for EVERY SINGLE ITEM bought or sold..... No other payment methods will be allowed. Now you probably already know that PayPal is owned by eBay and PayPal also charge Sellers a fee for using their service (between 3% - 5%). That is fine is you have other payment methods available such as Bank Deposit, but this will no longer be an option. I still offer PayPal as an option on all my listings but I believe everyone has a right to a choice... but it appears eBay.au don't think so.
