FENDER TELECASTER SQUIER STANDARD GUITAR

For sale is a Fender Squier Telecaster, Standard Series. This is the "FAT" version which features a Humbucker pickup in the neck position which gives fuller tones. The year of manufacture is 2000. Made in Indonesia.

The Standard Series is a quality guitar which includes a full thickness body (1.75ins), good quality pickups, through stringing body and skunk stripe 22 fret neck similar to the USA version.

The body is green metallic (I think the Fender colour in Sherwood Green Metallic), with chrome hardware and white 3 ply pickguard. The neck is maple with rosewood fret board. This colour is quite rare for a Tele and really looks good. (Sparkles in light)

Despite being almost ten years old the guitar is in good condition. Only used in house and well looked after. Front, back and all edges of body are free from chips, dents etc. There is a very slight scratch/scuffing to the lower back of the body probably from resting on the stand, also a small airline crack near the neck pocket (approx 12mm long). This crack (usually caused by expansion) is in the laquer and does not extend into the wood and certainly does not affect the structural stability of the guitar or affect its playability in any way. These are very difficult to see but I thought they should be mentioned. I have tried to show these in the photos. All electrics work as should, no crackles etc.

The neck is straight, no noticeable fret wear, no chips, dents etc. The guitar is well set up with a low action and is good to play and sounds well.

The guitar is generally as orginial with the exceptions of the following modifications.

• New high quality replacement 3 way switch (original became faulty)
• New Fender neck plate (Squier plate removed)
• Replacement F logos to headstock. These are waterslide transfers which have been varnished over.

PLEASE NOTE:  this guitar is not a USA Telecaster.  This is a Fender Squier "Standard" Telecaster made in Indonesia.

It is however a very nice clean looking guitar, well made, good to play and sounds well.  I am selling because I have just purchased a new guitar.  It just needs a good home.
