These vans were originally built by the Great Central Railway under diagrams 61/2, just under 200 examples being introduced in 1904/5. Most were still running at the time of the LNER/GC amalgamation while at least 12 were still in service in early BR days.
This kit is based on an ex-Jidenco kit, uprated by Falcon Brass. It is unstarted and unopened. It has etched brass sides with etched brass overlays, brass ends and many brass etched detail parts. There is a brass preformed roof section. Underframe fittings and buffers are in cast metal. There are instructions and constructional diagrams. A set of wheels, couplings, wire, paint, transfers and adhesives are required to complete the model.
