How I grade my vinyl

I grade my vinyl visually then play the part of the vinyl that I consider to be in the poorest condition. If I have time, I play the complete record. I try to be as honest and accurate as possible & have managed to maintain very good positive feedback. The pictures I use are of the actual article not immaculate archive images as used by some sellers. Please bear in mind that vinyl never plays like a CD!

MINT....I never grade my records as mint. Mint is new & unplayed. How do you know it reaches this accolade until you have played the record!  

NEAR MINT...the vinyl/sleeve are virtually unblemished. It looks & plays like new though the record is used.

EXCELLENT ..the vinyl/sleeve has minimal damage. I use a + and - sign to denote levels of this classification.

VERY GOOD..the vinyl/sleeve has some damage but plays to a reasonable standard, I use a + and - to denote levels of this classification.

GOOD............I do not list vinyl that is poorer than very good-
