Offered for sale is this fabulous original walnut French armoire, raised on short decoratively carved cabriole feet, it has a single full width lower drawer, the drawer being in very good condition operating as it should and retaining it's original handles and escutcheon, above is a single arched mirrored door, the bevel edged mirror has some age related blemishes to the silvering but this is minor and does not need replacing, there is a brass escutcheon and fitted lock but no key, the inside is very clean and tidy, it has one shelf which is adjustable and could be placed anywhere within the wardrobe section, I have placed it in the middle just to show it, furthermore more shelves could be added or coat hooks or clothes rail if desired. The armoire is finished off with a deep domed plinth which is decorated floral carvings and a deep moulding. This is a superb armoire in very good clean condition, it is solid with no shakes or wobbles, the overall dimensions are 42" wide, 19 3/4" deep and 99" high, the top plinth does come off which reduces the height by 14" to assist with moving/transporting it.
