This glasvase from the art glass studio of the Muller Freres brothers, France, shows the high productionstandard and the perfection of the glasscraftmenship in France. The Muller Freres brothers learned this techniques in the famous art glass studio Gallé.

The extravagant cut floral pattern was upgraded with colourfull powedermeltings. The whole vase is an excellent example of the french art glass movement at the beginning of the 20th century.

Diese Glasvase aus der Glaswerkstätte der Gebrüder Muller Freres, Frankreich, zeigt den hohen Produktionsstandard und die perfektion der Glasbearbeitung in Frankreich. Gelernt haben das die Brüder Muller Freres in der berühmten Glashütte Gallé.

Das aufwendig geschnittene florale Muster wurde mit farbigen Pulvereinschmelzungen noch zusätzlich veredelt, ein excellentes Beispiel der französischen Glaskunst am Anfang des 20ten Jahrhunderts.

Established in Lunéville, France, Muller Frères consisted of a group of brothers who had all worked for Gallé company and produced superb quality cameo and acid-etched art glass. From 1905 to the 1930s, they made many luxurious glass objects in the Art Nouveau style, and their work can be compared to that of the Daum family. The brothers came from a line of glass makers, and mastered all well-known glass decorating techniques, always experimenting with new methods. They developed rapidly into a company well-renowned for their large diversity and superior quality.

Die Ursprünge der Familie Muller liegen in Kahlhausen/Moselle. 1885 treten die beiden ältesten Brüder Désiré und  Eugène, in die Firma Emile Gallé  in Nancy ein und spezialisieren sich auf Gravur und Glasschnitt. Auch Ihre Brüder  Victor,  Pierre und  Henri beginnen ihre Ausbildung bei Gallé. 1895 gründet Henri in Lunéville bei Nancy eine Glasdekorationswerkstatt. Bald darauf folgen die Geschwister nach. 1914 wird die Anlage geschlossen und erst nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg wiedereröffnet. 1919 übernimmt die Firma die Hinzelin-Hütte bei Croismare. 1936 muss die Firma ihre Tore schließen. Es bleibt nur ein kleines Dekorationsatelier bestehen.
