SPECIFICATION

Milled and machined to a very high standard this is not to be compared with some cheap products that are coming in from eastern Asia and China. This is produced to a very high standard and kiln dried 8% - 11% which is perfect for flooring

It is T & G on the long edges, square edged and the underside has stress grooves to ensure stability after installation

DIMENSIONS

QUALITY

In every parcel of flooring there is a mix of Prime quality (no knots) and a proportion of First and Second Sort (some tight knots with filler, no break-out, some stronger colour in the grain). This is very high quality oak strip flooring. When measuring allow up to 10% for cuts and wastage. Do not compare with American White Oak or Mongolian Oak (from China) - this is European Oak

FINISH

It is sanded to 120 grit. This is a lovely soft surface. After laying it may need to be sanded level and to clean it before applying your first coat of your chosen finish. You can stain, lacquer, oil or wax this beautiful wood to give it your own unique appearance

We do not pre-finish this oak as there are so many alternatives you can choose from. Please look at the photos to give you some idea of just how great this product looks

Do not confuse this with the many pre-lacquered oak floors that are available. Ours has nothing to hide. Many of them will be called 'Character' which means they will have shakes (splits) and knots which are falling out

When you get it to the installation site, you should leave it for several days to acclimatise. When installing mix the timber at random

When buying on Ebay, the price is for 1 sq metre of the flooring. The price will depend on how many sq metres you want. Remember the price includes VAT.
