Ernst Kaps Dresden Germany Rosewood Upright Piano

Description:
This is a beautiful "Ernst Kaps of Dresden, Germany" fully restored early 20th Century, classic rounded modernist of the period, pre Art Deco, upright over-strung and under-damped piano of exceptionally good quality, bearing the number "18346".  The piano comes complete with a locking key, set in a fabulous rosewood frame of classic form with curved legs to the front, standing on block feet having lovely rosewood veneers to both the keyboard cover and front of the piano with plainer rosewood veneers to the sides with mahogany cappings where the sides curl to the top.  The iron frame is beautiful and the sound plate has all be restored, along with new pins, and has been restrung, all the dampers and hammers having been re-felted.  The case has been re-polished and is in beautiful condition with lovely brass inlays and plays beautifully having been tuned to "4 40" concert pitch.  The piano has a total of 85 keys, which are all in very nice condition. A fabulous quality musical instrument, ready to play.

The piano is in very nice fully restored condition.  There is some minor wear having a small scuff on the front edge of the kneehole, but otherwise in very nice condition.
