An Ensign Tropical Carbine No.6 folding rangefinder camera for 6 x 9cm exposures on 120 rollfilm made between 1927 and 1936. The camera is in working order and good cosmetic condition .
Fitted with a clean fungus free Aldis-Butcher Anastigmat 4 inch f4.5 lens in a Compur shutter with speeds from 1 second to 1/250th, B and T. All speeds work crisply and sound correct although not verified for accuracy. The bronzed brass body has no damage but does have some tarnishing, brassing and marks from use. The brown bellows are in good condition and the folding mechanism and focussing are working well. Also supplied is a clip-in cable release.
Not mint but a tidy example of an uncommon classic British camera. Offered at a low starting price with no reserve.
