Enid Blyton – Noddy’s Own Nursery Rhymes Book, -a Nursery Colour Picture Book, Sampson Low, Marston & Co Ltd, 1958.

This is a nice – well above average – example of Noddy’s Own Nursery Rhymes Book, by Enid Blyton. It was published in 1958 by Sampson Low, Marston & Co., Ltd of London. The book measures 10” x 8½”. The pictorial paper-covered boards have just slight rubs here and there with light bumps to the corners. There are no grazes or scribbles and the cloth spine is complete. Inside, the book is pretty much perfect. The original owner has neatly written his name in the This Book Belongs To space, but other than that it is fine. The 36 pages are printed on good-quality paper with one or two rhymes – relating to Noddy or his chums – on each double page, as well as wonderful illustrations on every page. (Some take up a whole page, others just half.) As I say, other than the very minor rubbing to the edges of the cover the book is in lovely condition.
