This is an engraving stuck on board depicting the “Rescue of the crew of the “Lovely Nelly” of Seaham, by the Cullercoats “Percy” Lifeboat”.
The etching measures 20.5cms by 24cms.
This is apparently a very famous rescue operation in 1861 which is documented on today’s Cullercoats (South Shields, UK) lifeboat site:

I presume this piece to be late 1800’s.
Please note, I am selling this and a number of other paintings / drawings on behalf of a friend. Any “technical” questions about the item will need to be passed by him so I may not be as speedy as usual in getting back to you.
I’m happy to mail worldwide, but overseas bidders please check with me first to avoid any nasty surprises on delivery charges!
Please let me know if you have any questions and do take an opportunity to look at my other items for sale. I’m having a big clear-out over the next few weeks and have lots of small, quirky items that need deserving homes. I will of course offer postage discount for multiple purchases.
Happy bidding!
