A pair of brand new re-manufactured bonded Steel/Rubber engine mountings. Suitable for Most V8 2wd applications and made to the highest quality as you would expect from any product that we supply.

It is becoming so difficult to get essential engine and engine appropriation parts for the Rover V8 engine. However you can be sure we will carry on sourcing all we can, whilst we can, without compromise to O/E quality, indeed inmost cases to exceed such standards.

Will it fit my Car? (mostly only suitable for 2WD not 4WD Rover V8's)
These engine mounting brackets are for the Rover V8 SD1 models from 2.0 to 3.5 including Vitesse and Vanden Plas. They are also widely used  by Morgan, TVR's  and almost all  Kit Cars. Please study the pictures to be sure they are suitable for your application.

Why Would I need them.
When was the last time you took a look at your original engine mountings, most commonly they all fall into at least one of  the following categories;

Oil contaminated.
Causing far to much flex in the engine mounting, meaning you engine will hang in place at awkward angles. Perhaps causing the exhaust to hit the body or the gearbox to drag on the floor.!

Old age
If not Oil contaminated these mounts tend to dry out and become quite rigid, this will cause massive engine vibration through the body of your car and destroy the driving pleasure of your vehicle. As well as causing essential nuts, bolts, clips and other such devices to rattle loose all over your Car.

Splits and tears
This is not normally a mainstream problem as the original mounts are extremely  robust when mounted in the correct orientation (as they where designed for).  However some vehicles, such as most TVR Models use them at an angle and this causes the mounts to tear from the lowest bonded point. This is because these mounts are designed originally to be mounted flat. Thus the torque effect of the engine is across the whole bonded surface rather than in one corner.

Service parts availability
If your mounts fail you are not likely to find any replacements easily at your local dealer parts store or specialist. Having a spare pair, either with you or in your garage may save you a lot of hassle and cost in the future. Parts like this item when re-manufactured are not always available and eventually no longer produced.
