An enamel bus stop 'e' plate for '163A Sunday' in red lettering on a white background. It is in very good condition with just slight edge wear (visible in the picture).
Route 163A was introduced in 1959 and ran on Sundays only between Plumstead (Woodlands Estate) and Camberwell Green via Plumstead Common, Woolwich, Greenwich, Deptford, New Cross and Peckham, with early morning journeys extended to Kennington. It replaced the Sunday service on the 163 and provided a new Sunday service to Woodlands Estate. In 1963 it was diverted at Plumstead to Abbey Wood, and the early journeys to Kennington were withdrawn. The service to Woodlands Estate was replaced by a Sunday service on the 192. The route was withdrawn in 1966. Please see my other auctions for other items, and more 'e' plates over the coming weeks, as I have acquired a small collection of plates to dispose of. Thanks for looking. I am a keen collector of 'e' plates and will pay the highest prices for any that you can find that I do not already have in my collection. IMPORTANT NOTE - PLEASE READ THIS EBAY HAVE NOW DECIDED TO SEND AUTOMATIC INVOICES AT THE END OF EACH PURCHASE. IF YOU WANT TO BID ON MORE ITEMS AND WANT COMBINED POSTAGE - DO NOT PAY THE AUTOMATIC EBAY INVOICE, AND CERTAINLY DO NOT PAY BY PAYPAL. I PREFER PAYMENT BY CHEQUE PLEASE. IF YOU PAY BY PAYPAL I WILL BE UNABLE TO COMBINE PURCHASES AND POSTAGE FOR ANY SUBSEQUENT PURCHASES. IF YOU ARE UNCLEAR PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE PAYING. |
