WELCOME BACK TO ROCKY'S DOGHOUSE
The next item we are offering up for auction is a nice example of an antique milk bottle. This piece is known as a "bowling pin" because of its unusual shape. It is 1/2 gallon in size and is embossed on the base " EMPIRE PAT. AUG 13-01". It also holds the number "601" on the base. The front of the bottle has a blank round slug plate. As far as mold seams, there is one on each side that stop about an inch before the lip. There is also a seam the runs around the perimeter of the base about a 1/2" up the bottle. The only flaw we see on this piece is a smooth ding inside the glass on the lip and some light scratching.
