OK, everyone has been in that situation, either they have a rubbish battery on their phone like me, or they always run out while away from home.
You used to have to buy those one time one use only chargers for about 3 quid, you plugged them in and that was it, about 30 mins of charge time, then the bin. Really environmentally friendly!! NOT!!
But energizer have come up with a device that you put AA batteries in, and with two of the INCLUDED lithium batteries, you get MORE THAN A FULL CHARGE which I have independently verified with my rubbish battery life PDA phone (yeah I get about 2 days between charge, but I use it a lot) as seen in the supersize pic. The device STILL has power after a full charge.
This device is much better than the el cheapo ones you can find in the pound shops, because if you look down the barrel where the batteries go, theres a charging regulation chip. So its not just connecting the batteries to the mobile directly like those cheapos, which would be a dumb idea. We actually have some intelligent charge technology too.
Bargain at this price, you can use it over and over again (subject to new batteries).
Can use any batteries with this device due to the charge technology, it just takes standard AAs! The lithium ones that come with it are of course recommended because they give the biggest reserve of power.
This is the "MOTOTOLA" version but it fits a LOT more phones, it comes with a clippy sort of motorola fitting (old style I think) and also more importantly comes with a "mini usb" cable, which is pretty much the industry standard nowadays especially for PDAs and smartphones, as you can see it is just fine on my XDA..III I think it is?? The cables are interchangeable, meaning if like me you have a nokia and a PDA, you can just carry one of these chargers (see other items for my nokia version)
Please of course read the instructions before use, theyre not that long, so it wont take more than 2 minutes!
Any questions please ask! I can try to verify compatibility if you are unsure. The packaging has a hole in the back that does allow you to test the plug size against your phone before opening it, so returns are OK if not opened, but you will need to pay the return postage in this instance.
NOTE: Rubbish PDA NOT included, no matter how much I may hate it!
