A hardback copy of Goblin Island by Elsie J Oxenham, published by Collins, not dated but inscribed 1914. This book is signed and inscribed by the author to her cousin Betty Hutcheson, it was then given to Betty's niece Kirsty on Betty's death, and the additional inscription reflects this.

The spine has been repaired, it is split down the front hinge and worn. There is a water stain affecting the front cover and the bottom page edges. The pages are all intact and not loose - see photos below for futher details of condition. All four plates are present.

A very scarce early signed copy of the author's first book.
