Elixir strings have a patented gore tex coating on the wound strings which prevent grease, dirt and moisture from getting into the windings.  This effectively enables the strings to retain their 'new sounding' element for much longer. 

Endorsed and fitted on many high end and reputable guitar manufacurers such as Taylor guitars.  The string is claimed to remain bright and new sounding for many times longer than uncoated strings.  These particular Elixir strings have a Nano coating which is ultra fine and makes the strings feel like normal uncoated strings.  Up to now Elixir Strings were only available in 80/20 but this set is their new addition to the range and are PHOSPHOR BRONZE offering more depth and a little more warmth than the 80/20 strings.

EXTRA LIGHT: Good for electro acoustic and low tension for the easiest playability.

CUSTOM LIGHT : Good all round for everything.  Easy to play and still retains most of the tone of the heavier strings.

LIGHT GAUGE which these are : These are nearly the heaviest we sell.  They have the most full rich tone and the highest tension.
