A hardback copy of Lavender Laughs in the Chalet School by Elinor M Brent-Dyer, published by Chambers in 1956. The spine is faded, and there is a name and date, and a prize plate from the Salvation Army on the front endpaper. The pages have yellowed as usual with books from this era. Otherwise the book is in very good condition, and contains the full text of the story, unlike the paperback reprint. The dustjacket is a copy of the one from the first edition, it is in a protective sleeve.
