It is my pleasure to offer this vintage oak veneered twin pedestal desk believed to date from 1930's, this elegant desk is both a useful and decorative example that would sit nicely in both contemporary and traditional interiors.
It is a good size piece offering plenty of working area and storage, there are three drawers in the desk top, each pedestal has a three further drawerseach having the original solid brass decorative handle and dovetail joints, the sides and rear of the pedestals are panelled, so it can sit centrally in a room. It has a the original brown inlaid writing surface with that has some signs of wear, the whole thing rests dwarf cabriole legs and ball and claw feet. Overall It is a solid, attractive and useful piece that has lots of indvidual style and character and is ready for use, the rear of the desk is a little dry as it has probably been near a radiator and there are some minor signs of some old inactive woodworm.
I have loaded lots of photos so that you can see for yourself the style and overall condition of this lovely old desk.
It measures 48" W x 30" D and is 31" H. The desk dismantles into three pieces.
