This auction is for an electronic ignition conversion kit for the Ford Pinto SOHC engine. 

The item has been cleaned to be sure all is OK.

It´s very usual to find this engines running actually  with contact breaker distributor, this kit is a direct replacement for your existing contact breaker disy and has all you need.

This auction includes:

-The distributor complete (it´s in very good condition and has no play) the  amplificator module

-The special coil for the electronic ignition and the mounting bracket.

-The original Ford wiring to connect all the parts to your car´s wiring, it´s the original removed from the donnor car, so keeps all the correct connectors for a professional looking finish.

Some of the main benefits of electronic ignition are reduced maintenance, it removes the need for the points to act as an electrical switch. The transistor within the circuit acts as a high speed switch. This means that apart from mechanical wear, there is no reduction in efficiency due to erosion of the contact surfaces, and the cold start is better.

Sorry for the price of the postage it´s the real price for a signed for packed priority in Spain I dont charge the package or handling, you can see the rates of the postage in Spain in www.correos.es for a 2.3-2.5 kg packet, some people asked me about a cheaper option...
