The battery has the screw in terminal type of connection as shown in the pictures.

Gel type batteries allow a better recovery from deep discharge, and are more tolerant to being left in a discharged condition before recharging. They are even capable of being continually fully discharged (ie: playing more holes). Although this type of use will over time reduce the life of the battery.

No matter how you use it, a gel battery will give a much extended working life.
