Eight Antique Mahogany Dining Chairs – Edwardian

This beautiful set of 8 antique Edwardian mahogany dining chairs ca 1900 are in the Hepplewhite style with shield shaped backs and beautifully carved back splats with a wheat sheaf design. The chairs stand on splayed back legs; have tapering moulded front legs and H stretchers for added stability. The chairs have been recently upholstered in a neutral velvet fabric, are a rich medium mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, are in very good condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Items of this age and quality are becoming very rare to find and they are not just a beautiful piece of furniture but also a very good investment. A piece of furniture of this quality should sell for around £3000. In a London antique shop it would have a price tag of well over £4000.
