This is a lovely original hall stand. I can not guaruntee the date when it was made but it is most probably Edwardian, early 20th Century.
The stand has all the original fixtures and fittings including the drip trays on either side of the base for the umbrellas and walking sticks. There is also the original rectangular mirror which is above the drawer and shelf. The wood looks like a deep mahogony or oak, it is certainly good quality, solid wood. If you are a wood expert, the pictures give a fairly good representation of the wood.
Dimentions:
Height - 200cm
Width - 89cm
Depth - 33cm
The stand is very sturdy and the pictures give a true indication of the condition it is in.
The leg (which is pictured) has come away from the base very slightly but this does not show when standing as the piece is very stable. It can easily be mended.
The top of the drawer has a wet water ring but this does not seem to be a deep damage, just a little tlc will hopefully bring this back to its former glory.
This is a beautiful hall stand and I would love to have it in my own home, unfortunately the hall is not big enough to show off such an impressive item.
This item is listed as COLLECTION ONLY. Collection must be arranged by the buyer at a mutually convenient time for both buyer and seller. At the moment, I have a few other pieces of home furniture, dating from around the same time, including a triple wardrobe. So if this is your style then it may be worth picking up more than one item.
If any further details are required, please do not hesitate to ask. Many thanks for taking the time to look at this impressive hall stand.
Payment must be made via Paypal or personal cheque and cleared fully before a collection date and time can be agreed.
