is a beautiufl Solid Mahogany library bookcase cabinet dating to the
Edwardian period of the early 20th century bearing ivorine label to
rear for Glover Bros, Lower Clapton Road, London.
Made of solid mahogany, the chest stands on square legs with
inset arched corners supporting a good sized f wide glazed bookcase
cabinet above. The bookcase is of top quality construction having end
glazed doors and a further set of 2 doors within, all opening to reveal
adjustable large open shelving within. Working brass locks and keys
with brass tear drop handles feature to the front. Finished
with a flared edge pelmet above having a stage gallery back.
Original back
panels in place with makers ivorine label. The item dismantles into 2
pieces for ease of movement
and transportation
Condition
Offered in a very good and solid condition commensurate with age. This
item
is old so please do not expect it to be as new. Free of worm and solid
in joint, polished and ready to use. (see photo)
