Item Details: Edwardian Judges Cupboard / Wardrobe / Linen Press. Direct to the market from a private home this item was originally in the chamber of a Judge and stored his robes wig etc.. For last few decades, since retirement, it has been in one of the spare rooms and used as a novel and eye-catching wardrobe. It is crafted from solid Mahogany and has inlaid Satinwood banding to front and both sides. To the left is a patented hanging rail that will slide forward and fold out for easy access. On the right is a selection of drawers and a compartment that houses the original wig stand. Two labels to the interior (see close ups) show the maker as Innovation of London, Paris & New York and give a patent date of 1904. Fantastic original condition and just the minor bumps of age.
Measurements: 59 inches (150cm) high x 24 ½ inches (62cm) deep x 52 inches (132cm) wide.
