Selling this Eddystone model 888A communications receiver in good working order and excellent appearance.

This receiver manufactured by Stratton & Co, Birmingham and badged as an Eddystone 888A was designed for the radio amateur and covers the 160, 80, 40,20,15 and 10 metre amateur bands and is capable of receiving AM, CW and SSB transmissions.

Of a double superhet design with a high first intermediate frequency of 1.6 Mhz for good image protection and a low second intermediate frequency of 85 Khz for high gain and selectivity. With separate RF,IF and AF gain controls, a crystal calibrator, audio filter and aerial trimmer.

As shown in the photo's - this receiver has a good silver grey front panel and outer case, VG finger plate, dial and knobs.

Size 43 cms wide, 28 cms deep and 23 cms high.  Weighing 21 Kgs.
