Three plates in fine white china with an early mark for Doulton of Burselm, in use between 1891 and 1902. An impressed partial mark suggests that the date might be 1899. The plates are decorated with delicate floral sprays, two have the same design in the centre, though different borders, and the third has different designs in the centre and on the border. The plates are finished with a blush blue border and gold rim. Measuring 9” across, all three plates are in good condition, with no chips or cracks. All ring true. There is slight crazing on one plate and all plates show slight cutlery marks and some fading of the blue border in places. The reddish-brown crown back stamp reads: Doulton, Burslem, England.
