A
very good early 20th
century oak extending dining table with two additional leaves making it
almost 8 feet long. Will seat 10 comfortably when fully extended and 6
without the leaves. The table is solid and heavy. The winding mechanism
works smoothly (I had mislaid the winding handle when I took the photos
but it has now turned up). The table surface is in good order with just
a couple of minor marks commensurate with age and use. The top sides are
moulded with canted corners. The chunky legs taper to spade ends and
rest on the original castors. There is very slight shrinkage and warp
between the planks of the top - nothing to worry about but mentioned to
be complete and accurate.
Please note: the winding handle was mislaid when photos were taken but
now found!
