This is an early 18th century three panel oak coffer. It has a three panel lid.There is some later carving around the top of the coffer and the lock plate is missing.Dimensions are 49 inches long.25 inches high. 23 inches wide. The bottom boards have been replaced. There is some sign of old worm which has been treated, on the bottom left side panel where there is a hole in the oak approx 3 inches by 2 inches. Overall in good condition for its age, this is a typical coffer of the period and would enhance any interior.
