From the dust jacket: "During World War II, Consolidated-Vultee Aircraft Corp. of San Diego, Calif. formed a separate company, a transport dvidsion called Consolidated Airways, Inc. . .contracted to Consairways. A government contract was awarded the firm to assist the military Air Transport Command in flying high priority personnel and material to far distant theaters of war in the Pacific.

The author was a radioman with Consairways througout the war and not only relates first hand experiences of those dangerous and uncertain flying years but also has collected the reminiscences of many of his fellow crewmen. This is not a historical narrative but rather a very personal, human glimpse into a colorful group of aviation pioneers."

Book appears to be signed by both authors with short inscription. I have no direct knowledge of the authenticity of this signature; however, based on how I acquired the book, I assume it to be authentic.

Book is assumed also to be a first edition, but is not stated. Book is in fine (like new) condition. A rare collector piece. On a scale of 1-10, this is a 10
