I have produced this portfolio in response to the S.E.F ofsted recommend all childminders complete on at least an annual basis in order to comply with the EYFS framework.This S.E.F will form an essential part of your ofsted inspection. All registered childminders have been sent a copy of the S.E.F. The SEF has been revised yet again on October 23rd. Ofsted have not yet informed us of this.!! I will email you the amendmentsd when I have completed them. Ofsted are still happy to accept this version .

At present I am enrolled on the Early Years Professional Status Postgraduate Study Programme delivered by Northampton University. One of the requirements of this programme is that I complete a leadership module. To enable me to do this as a sole practitioner I have developed a number resources to help childminders effectively deliver the EYFS in a home setting. I present these to local childminding groups . My aim is to "help improve the practice of others" which is one of the programme outcomes. I am assessed on my effectiveness in doing this.

I have fully reviewed my practice as an ofsted registered childminder in order to work within the EYFS framework. I have modified policies, procedures and my practice accordingly in order to meet these requirements.If you wish to view my latest ofsted report my EY number is: EY356716 and can be viewed on the ofsted website.

These files  answer ALL THE QUESTIONS POSED ON THE OFSTED S.E.F. in a simple easy to follow format.(you will have to review your own practive in order to fill in section C  ( tick boxes relating to statuatory requirements). I have explained in great detail all the ways in which I, as an ofsted registered childminder-soon to be early years professional- deliver all the required and recommended aspects of the EYFS framework.

Save the files to 'my documents' on your computer;edit it accordingly yo reflect a true overview of your practice; print it off and send to ofsted to evidence your S.E.F. IF YOU WISH TO FILL IN AN ON LINE sef YOU WILL HAVE TO TYPE THE INFORMATION DIRECTLY ONTO THE WEBSITE proforma.

Ofsted will expect to see evidence of what you claim to have done on your SEF; so be prepared to prove your practice when they come. If you simply copy this document without actually doing the things stated in it ofsted will pick up on this!!!!!!!!!!!!  Be Warned!
