HISTORIC EXETER - The Ideal Centre for Touring Glorious Devon - Official City Guide - 1959

This guide consists of 104 pages of local information and history, well illustrated and including a double page street plan of the city. Also includes a good selection of attractive local business adverts, eg Whatty's Delicatessen, The City Steam Laundry, Colsons Store, WH Smith & Son's, Creedy Valley Cider, Hammett's Dairies, Devon General Omnibus & Touring Co and many more. Two pages of text discuss the post war rebuilding of the city (Exeter Phoenix). 

Published by the Exeter Official Publicity & Information Bureau. Date 1959 printed along the spine.  

Stiff card covered booklet, 104 pages plus cover, size approx 13.5cm x 21cm. Overall good condition, clean, contents good, corners good, glued/stitched spine tight. Very nice.

An excellent item for the local historian, family history researcher and collector.
