FOR SALE A CHARMING REANULT CAMPER 1989 ('F' Reg) - 86,000 Miles - 1.7l Petrol Engine Fantastic campervan for sale - ready to go! We recently bought this camper with the intention of taking it on our honeymoon next year - unfortunately our main car blew up shortly after buying it so we are regretfully selling the camper to buy a new car. The van is in fantastic condition for a vehicle that is now 20 years old. Mechnically the van is in A1 condition and runs excellently! Last serviced about 12 months ago (new oil, air filter, spark flugs) Recently undertaken (less than one month ago): Brand new cam belt Brand new fan belt Radiator flushed and re-filled - ready for Winter! New CV joint gater and CV boot 4 new tyres and new spare (less than 1000 miles use) New rocker head gasket Brand new exhaust system (from the manifold back) Steering system checked Suspension checked Braking system checked and serviced Clutch and gearbox checked - fresh gearbox oil No leaks of any kind! No welding Undercarriage VERY sound - any small rust patches recently treated. Naturally all the 'normal' stuff works - hazard/brake/main lights all sound....I'd be VERY surprised if the van did not pass the next MOT. The interior, again, is in fantastic condition - all fabrics clean with no dirt or stains. Thetford porta-loo in its own 'room' with small sink basin. The kitchen area has a small 3-hob stove with grill, sink and refridgerator and comes with a gas bottle. Water supply via water tank inside the van. 240v hookup with cable. Plus LOADS of storage and table. The seats in the back can be used as conventional seats for passengers whilst on the move (they have seat belts) and convert into a bed area when required. The bed comfortably sleeps two - we have a purpose built leg extension for so your feet dont dangle off the end - for those taller people! The van comes with a wicked side awning - perfect for those warm summer evenings! The exterior is in great condition - all main body work panels are dent and rust free however... (the, slightly, bad bits): The previous owner of the van seems to have had a knock at the back of the van. I have included photos of the back door and back (drivers side) panel. The back drivers-side door has bent outwards and has some missing paint. There is light surface rust. Once the door has been bent back in, the rust removed and the affected area of the door sprayed this will look good as new. PLEASE NOTE: The door still functions correctly and can be closed/locked. The ding in the drivers side rear panel - just above the light cluster - is about 2 inches wide. It has rusted slightly - but this is just surface. Once beaten out, grinded and painted this will look good as new. The integrity of the panel has not been compromised - there are no holes in the metal etc. The back drivers side bumper took a bit of the impact and is dented - some paint was removed and has some surface rust. The passenger side bumper has a large graze on it (but no dents). PLEASE NOTE: These bumpers are small corner style bumpers and are made of metal (not nasty plastic!) The dent in the drivers side bumper can be removed and all bumpers can be resprayed easily. And thats it! A VERY sound van - ready for immediate use. The back areas of the van will need attention - but should be inexpensive to repair. For example, we had a quote from a local breakers yard for a rear door for £50 just a week or so ago. No spare ignition key - but spare door keys. No power steering and a manual choke - the old bus is 20 years old, no such mod-cons back then! :op Long MOT - Don't need a new one until April 2010. Tax'd until end of November 2009. Please no timewasters, as we really need to sell to buy a car. Cash on collection please - you bid to buy, not to view! |
