No inscriptions. Hinges firm and intact. Gilt top edge a little dulled. Some yellowing to page edges and also to edges of text block. Age-spotting to green endpapers and facing white endpapers.
Well bound with straight and sturdy linen-bound hard green boards with bright gilt titling to front and spine. Corners are sharp and without bumps although the points are rubbed. Spine is without nick or fraying although edges are a little shelf rubbed.
Dust-jacket: not price-clipped; well produced from rather stiff paper and with a large tipped in (pasted on) colour photograph at front; edgewear, particularly at top edge whch also has some chiping; small piece lost over tail of spine and also at front near head of spine; a couple of half-inch closed tears, one at front bottom edge, the other at rear bottom edge; obvious yellowing to formerly white areas and generally; rear is marked as though from being in contact with a much darker surface; the reverse side (ie. the side in contact with the boards) is foxed and much age-toned.
