STARS OF TOMORROW - BUT THEY DIDN'T ALL MAKE IT!

There were times when almost every schoolboy in the country with an interest in football went to the annual Schools International at Wembley. And one of the interesting features is to look at the programme a few years later to see who made the grade in league or international football. This particular year, 1989, the Federal Republic of Germany were England's opponents, and it's fair to say that very few of the players on view went on to be household names.

On the England side only Nick Barmby and Darren Caskey fulfilled their promise, while amongst the Germans, Jens Nowotny and Markus Schwiderowski played at top level.

The programme is full colour on every one of the 44 pages and is printed on heavy quality paper. It's in perfect condition, apart from a slight glue mark bottom right of the front cover where a pack of stickers has been removed.
