This is a cup or mug in the Toast & Marmalade pattern.

 

 

Around the outside of the mug, the motto reads: 'TEA, COFFEE & HOT CHOCOLATE'.

 

 

 

 

Around the inside of the mug it reads: ' VERBENA & CAMOMILE TEA'.

 

 

 

 

 

The base is marked 'Toast & Marmalade, Emma Bridgewater, England'.

 

 

 

The cup is about 8cm tall, and about 10cm wide across the top. The base is about 6.9cm across.

 

Condition: I bought this item as first quality. It has been used, but it is in good condition, with just some light surface marks.

 

Near the handle is one tiny dark mark in the pottery, about the size of a pinprick.

 

In addition to this, there is one point to note: on the inside of the cup, under the 'O' of 'CAMOMILE' there is a small mark. It looks slightly grey and feels vaguely rough. I can't tell is this is a mark on the pottery or in the pottery. If it's in the pottery, the mark may be from the inside.

 

 

The whole mark is about 1.5mm across, though its position makes it hard to measure, and the shininess of the glaze makes it hard to photograph.
