EMG ZAKK WYLDE PICKUP SET 81 & 85
With scorching riffs and remarkable stage presence, Zakk Wylde has earned his reputation as heavy metal's premier lead guitarist. From Ozzy Osbourne, Pride and Glory, and now Black Label Society, Zakk has always used EMG active pickups. The Zakk Wylde model features the EMG-85 and EMG-81, as used on his signature bullseye Les Paul guitar.
EMG-85
Although the EMG-85 pickup has more measurable output than the 81, its frequency response and string interface are different. The 85 uses two Alnico magnet-loaded coils with a wide aperture to maintain a beefy low end and a fatter top end. Because of a more natural tone, it works great as a rhythm and blues pickup because it has loads of output but isn't muddy. It's a perfect choice as a rhythm pickup in combination with an 81 in the bridge.
The midrange has great definition and doesn't get foggy or muddy in the rhythm position. The EMG-85 works best if you like the natural distortion that comes from overdriving the front end of your amp. Under any condition, the humbucker responds accurately to your technique.
EMG-81
The EMG-81 pickup is a high-output pickup designed especially for the lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you're playing power rock 'n' roll, or overdriving your amp, there's a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you're looking for exceptional qualities in a rock pickup, the EMG-81 is the one.
Distortion during lead passages is consistent, sustain is long and the breakup fades smoothly. The ceramic magnet in combination with wide aperture steel poles lend a quick attack but the tone stays nice and fat at the same time. Perfect if you're the only guitarist in the band, and need to switch from rhythm to lead and still keep the band moving. Another great thing about the EMG-81 humbucker is it's quiet. If you're playing at really high gain the last thing you need is noise.

We also accept payment through our secure online internet site at soundmeout, which is run by HSBC, from most major credit and debit cards. This service can be limited to UK and some parts of Europe and other countries. Please ask first.
For purchases outside of the UK with respect to guitars we mainly only accept Bank transfer.
For Outside of the UK we prefer Bank transfer due to Paypal not being able to verify addresses. Sorry for any inconvienence.

The shipping of small items is through Royal mail. Generally we use recorded service and first class. For overseas we recommend using "International Signed for" This service is slightly more expensive but your goods are insured and trackable.. The Sellers International rate is just normal overseas posting, we will obtain proof of posting but it will not be insured or trackable incase its lost. Details will be on the listing. For guitars within the UK this will be shipped using our couriers and normally on a 24 hour service and fully insured.
For international shipments we use FedEx or other major carriers and guitars are generally in the Euro Zone within 24 hours and typically USA and Australia within 3 days.
All guitars must be insured and the customer is responsible for any duties in their country. Within Europe this is generally free from Tax but please ensure you are aware of your tax rules.
RETURNS
If you are not completely satisfied with our products, you may return them for a full refund (freight excluded both ways) subject to the following terms and conditions:
The shipping for purchase and return is the responsibility of the buyer
1. All returns must be accompanied by a valid Return Authorisation Number which will be given.
2. You must be able to supply a copy of the invoice/receipt, order number or invoice number. Please call us at 056 023 86680 to obtain an RA#. All returns that do not clearly display the RA number on the outside of the packaging will automatically be refused.
All RA numbers must be issued within 2 days of receiving the product. If there is a problem with your order, please DO NOT DELAY in contacting us!
3. All returned product must be in "as received" condition and unaltered in any way. Do not install, sand, drill, rout, paint, file, take the protective plastic off pickguards or alter the product in any way until you have thoroughly inspected it for accuracy and have checked the fit! Product that has been altered in any way will not be accepted for return!
4. Product must be packaged securely and with sufficient protection to avoid damage in transit and insured for the return journey. If, in our opinion, any product shows evidence of damage, misuse, improper handling or insufficient packaging, it will not be eligible for exchange, refund or warranty consideration.
5. Custom work is not refundable. Orders that have been formally acknowledged by soundmeout.com and then confirmed by the customer are not refundable for reasons other than material or workmanship defect.
6. We do not accept returns on Books or other printed matter or other forms of media i.e DVD
