This is aporcelain hippopotamus trinket box and candle. On the bottom it says TREASURES OF THE PHARAOHS and is signed Elizabeth Arden. It measures about 5" long and 3 1/2" tall. The candle has never been lit and if you light it and burn it down, you have a hippo trinket box. The hippo has Egyptian style designs on his back/lid. I have had him for several years just sitting on a shelf so he is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
There is one of these up for sale in an eBay Store for $29 so my minimum bid is almost 1/3 the price!

BIDDING TIPS
Watch List: I've noticed over the years that more and more bidders are putting items on their WATCH List and then they wait until the very end to bid. There are advantages and disadvantages to this approach. The advantage is that you are not driving up the price by bidding with your competition. The disadvantage is that bidders often forget to keep track of their watched items and find out too late that the item sold for less than you would have been willing to pay, or it didn't sell at all and you could have had it for the minimum bid.
The solution to this dilemma is to bid just the mimimum bid early on. This doesn't prevent you from also bidding at the end, and it doesn't drive up the price because it is just the minimum. Also, if you tend to lose track of what is on your WATCH LIST , then you wouldn't have to worry about losing an item that receives no other bids because you would already have bid. Even the most careful bidder can have an unforseen interruption that prevents him/her from bidding and lose the item altogether.
Decide on your maximum: If you must bid at the very end, bid that maximum right off. If you really bid your maximum, you won't need to feel bad if the item was outbid. Someone else may seem to have outbid you by so little, but you don't know how high the other bidder was willing to go.
