ELGIN BW RAYMOND 21 JEWEL 18s GRADE 390 RR POCKET WATCH

Elgin Watch Co. 18 size 21 jewel B.W. Raymond open face lever-set railroad grade pocketwatch.  Scarce Grade 390 with only 4,400 total made of this grade, and a good looking 3/4 plate high grade movement with raised gold jewel settings on the plates and a diamond endstone over the balance wheel.  Fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel dial and housed in a 20 year gold-filled Fahys "Montauk" model case.  Case appears original to the watch and is engraved on the back with fancy initials.  Movement serial number is 15644516 which dates this one to about 1910 according to the online Elgin database.  

Running and a good looking movement overall but has corrosion in areas on the winding wheels.  Dial faces up beautifully and the only flaw I see is a small curved hairline at the outer edge between 9 and 10 O'clock.  Case has a nice solid overall look but does have a dinged area and a scrape along the right side the and inside the back of case has some wear through the finish, stains, and crudely scratched initials.  Glass crystal has some scattered marks/scratches but nothing too terrible.
