ABOUT THE TUBES

These are premium grade valves that are made in the Shuguang Factory in China which has a growing reputation for producing excellent quality valves.  These tubes are known for having low microphonics and rugged construction.  They are extremely well made tubes, providing long life, performance and reliability.  Many users have returned excellent reviews on these tubes.  You can be sure of a linear response and a beautiful fat tone rich in harmonics.  When overdriven they produce that classic warm crunch. 

We have been asked by several customers ‘what is the difference between an EL34B and the standard EL34?’.  The answer is that the B variant is a larger bottle, higher power, higher spec version of the standard EL34.

ABOUT THE TESTS WE DO

We feel that a simple emissions test only gives part of the story regarding a tubes quality and performance.  Therefore we take several further steps in our testing methods.  All tubes are tested at various working voltages.  The tubes are tested with varying grid voltages applied using realistic loading.  The tubes are tested for linearity, gain,  transconductance and are matched perfectly and precisely.  For All of Our output tubes The…………..

1 Gm value is at or above specification and matched perfectly between matched pairs.

2 Anodes are closely matched to within less than 4% tolerance between matched valves.

3 Have Low microphonics and hum.
