 X Cash Coin

 

This is a nice Original East India Company EIC copper X Cash Coin which was minted in 1808 and was part of the ships cargo lost when the EIC ship The Admiral Gardner was sunk on the Goodwin Sands in January 1809.

 

The coin is 25mm across and the front is in good condition for a ship wreck coin with very slight wear from the sea bed but with brown/green verdigris towards the left edge, see photo.

 

The back is in very good condition with only a small area of discolouration on one edge. .

 

The coin is in as found condition but cleaning could show the detail more clearly.

 

The coin comes with a certificate and information on the wreck
