GUIDE TO COIL SPRING REPLACEMENT
Coil springs support a vehicles weight and absorb the
impact of the road conditions. The vehicle shock absorbers work to
regulate the movement of the spring. Together they make up the vehicles
suspension system which keeps the tyres on contact with the road.
Gradual fatigue and corrosion results in gradual wear of coil springs.
They will become weaker and over time will shorten and even snap. Worn
springs will begin to compromise the safety of the vehicle, contributing
to longer braking distances, reduced roadholding ability,
increased tyre wear and less responsive steering

Eibach
Sportline is the extreme-performance spring set created for the extreme
enthusiast—the one who craves a racecar attitude for maximum street
performance—with the lowest possible drop, but with the exceptional ride
quality you expect from Eibach. Engineered with the same care as our
Pro-Kit springs, Eibach Sportline springs achieve legendary handling by
aggressively lowering your car’s centre of gravity, using our
precision—engineered progressive spring rates.
By radically lowering your car’s centre of gravity, our Sportline
springs dramatically reduce squat during acceleration, body roll in
corners and nose-dive under braking. By using our proprietary,
progressive spring design, our Sportline springs provide the ultimate
balance between high performance, extreme lowering and comfortable ride
quality. When combined with today’s wild 18”, 19” or 20” wheels and
tyres, the result is a car that handles just as satisfactorily as it
looks.
SPRING FITMENT
Coil springs should always be fitted in pairs to
ensure an even ride height and to avoid any pulling to one side when
braking. Shock absorbers should also be changed at the same time so that
the vehicles suspension is restored to how the manufacturer intended.

COIL SPRINGS
Support the vehicles weight and absorb the impact of the road
condition
Increases the life of the shock absorber and other suspension
components including tyres
Together with shock absorbers they make up the vehicles
suspension system which keeps the tyres in contact with the
road.
Why change Coil Springs
To return the vehicle to the correct ride height
To maintain tyre contact with the road surface
To improve road handling
To improve wheel alignment
To save money by increasing shock absorber life
When should Coil Springs be changed
When broken – always replace in axle pairs
When fatigued (sagging) – always replace in axle pairs
Shock absorbers should also be replaced at the same time –
always replace in axle pairs
