EEV Traveling Wave Tube, type CV6208

9GHz, 1W, 40dB Gain

A high quality TWT manufactured in England by EEV.  The CV6208 has a moderate output power of 1W max, and correspondingly modest power requirements.  The RF input and output connections are WG16 (WR90) which is specified for use from 8.2GHz - 12.4GHz, the tube itself is originally designed for use at 9.0GHz.  The available RF bandwidth of these tubes is not currently known due to MOD restrictions.  A partial data sheet is available with test data at a spot frequency of 9.0GHz.

The modest power requirements make these tubes ideal for the careful and reasonably experienced amateur/experimenter.  It appears  likely that these tubes will operate well into the 10GHz amateur band, but this has not been verified experimentally.  As with most TWT's, variation of the helix voltage will provide a degree of RF tuning.  These tubes are new and unused.

From a previous customer, this data has NOT been confirmed:

Pin A (black) is Chassis Ground, also Ground for the Collector (at the far end).
Pin C (Blue) is VG -11.5 Volts.
Pin E (Green) is VA 585 Volts
Pin J (Orange) is Anode 2700 Volts
Pin G (Yellow) and pin H (Brown) Cathode/Heater gives a soft Orange glow at 4.5 Volts @ 1 Amp.
