About ROYAL BALOUCH

     BALUCH rugs are woven by the nomadic Baluchi ethnic groups of Western Afghanistan and Eastern Iran. Very geometric and intricate in design, borrowing largely from Turkoman influence especially in the use of the "gul" or elephant foot motif. They also weave saddlebags, salt bags, prayer rugs, which reflect their nomadic way of life.
ECG's Terminology

     This is a relative term in the rug business, with these hand made rugs often taking up to two or more years to complete. By 'NEW' we mean the buyer of a new ECG rug will be the first owner. These are 100% hand made with no two rugs exactly alike reflecting the rug maker's individual preferences and craftsmanship. Enjoyment of these rugs is to appreciate these differences and value the unique flavor of a one of a kind item.
