Here we have what I think is an inkwell,I will describe the item and you can make your own desision.This item is made of Ebony and has the mark Ebony on the bottom.There is a silver mount on the top with the following marks on:J.H   i   a lion and what looks like a shield.The top is a screw on.This piece stands approx 3 inches tall and measures approx 2.75 inches across.There is a hole in the top which slopes down into the centre.This item is in excellent condition other than a flea bite chip to the inside of the lid.If you have any questions please just ask.
